Both silk, mink and synthetic lashes have a lifespan of about six to eight weeks. Because the lifespan you get from your extensions depends largely on your own lash cycle. Because each lash extension is individually attached to a single lash, when your real lashes fall out, it will naturally fall out as well. The normal life cycle of natural lashes can be as short as two weeks and as long as eight weeks. However, if properly protected, it is possible to extend the life of your lashes. After application, stay away from water vapor for the first 48 hours to avoid getting your lashes wet; when applying extensions, do not use oil-based products or heavy creams around the eyes; avoid rubbing your eyes, using eyelash curlers, etc.
